UAB Softball Adds Jolie Readeaux to 2021 Roster

BIRMINGHAM - The Blazers just added more experience and depth to the current roster. Coach Joe Guthrie announced the official signing of Jolie "JoJo" Readeaux.
She will join the Blazers in January and be eligible to play immediately.
Readeaux, who has been with Louisiana for the past three seasons, redshirted 2020 due to injury. The 5-foot-6 infielder made 22 starts in her two seasons with the Ragin' Cajuns and had a .228 batting average.
The Houston, Texas, native is a versatile athlete. She moved around the field playing first base, second base, right field, short stop and pinch hitting during her time in Lafayette.
She will arrive in Birmingham already familiar with some of the UAB coaching staff. She played for Guthrie and associate head coach Courtnay Foster when they were assistants for Louisiana during the 2017-18 season.
Readeaux has two years of eligibility remaining.
