UAB Baseball Adds Six Players to 2021 Signing Class

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB baseball program and head coach Perry Roth announced the signing of six future Blazers to the 2021 class.
"This has been a great day for UAB Baseball. The early signings in this class bring a great balance of pitching from the right and left side. We are very excited about what this class of pitching brings to the table," said Roth.
Thomas Ballard | RHP | Bob Jones High School | Madison, Ala.
Ballard played travel ball for Rickie Diehl and Andrew Dennis (North Alabama Vipers) and for Jared Smith at Bob Jones High School, where he was named the school's Most Outstanding Pitcher after racking up 30 strikeouts in 18.1 innings, with an ERA of 1.13.
Logan Braunschweig | INF | Thompson High School | Alabaster, Ala.
During the 2020 season Braunschweig played in 17 games, hitting .341, seven RBIs, eight stolen bases and an .408 on-base percentage.
Brodie McCracken | LHP | Oneonta High School | Oneonta, Ala.
McCracken was a member of the 2020 North-South All Star Team and a Perfect Game Southeast Region honorable mention; had a 0.00 ERA with 17 strikeouts in 12.2 innings in 2020.
Aidan Moza | RHP | North Cobb Christian School | Dallas, Ga.
Moza was named to Second-Team All-Region and All-State honors in 2019 and First-Team All-Region and All-State in 2020, and has set school records for most strikeouts and lowest ERA at North Cobb Christian.
Carson Myers | LHP | Bowling Green High School | Bowling Green, Ky.
Prep Baseball Report has Myers listed as the No. 4 left-handed pitcher in Kentucky and the 31st overall prospect in the state.
Jaylen Nowlin | LHP | Chipola College | Atlanta, Ga.
Last Spring with Chipola College in Marianna, Fla., he appeared in eight games and maintained a 3-0 record and 3.00 ERA with 28 strikeouts in 18 innings.
"Coach Revelette, Coach Furuto and myself were able to identify and build good relationships with players and families who believe in the vision of UAB Baseball. This core of players is a fantastic start to the 2021 class," added Roth.
