BIRMINGHAM – With the match deadlocked at 0-0 in the 108^th minute, Natalie Presedo's shot from 20 yards out hit off the crossbar and was the final scoring chance for UAB as they played Georgia State to a 0-0 tie on Sunday night.

Eve Beyer recorded her second straight shutout and got great support from the Blazers defense who only allowed one shot in 110 minutes.

The only scoring opportunity of the 1^st half was an Asha Zuniga shot that was turned away by GSU Kendra Clarke with a diving save.

In the second half, UAB dominated possession, outshooting the Panthers 7-1.

The Blazers had their opportunities including a Presedo cross that narrowly missed a cutting Megan Hudgens in the 53^rd minute and a Riley Parsons' breakaway in the 71^st minute that was stopped by Clarke.

After a week off, UAB wraps up nonconference play when they travel to Statesboro, Ga. to take on Georgia Southern Sept. 15. Conference USA play begins Sept. 22 when the Blazers travel to Louisiana Tech. The next home match will be Sept. 29 against FAU.
