UAB Softball Announces Fall Schedule

BIRMINGHAM- The UAB softball program has announced its 2019 fall schedule.

The fall season will feature eight games including three home contests.

"We are excited to get the fall going with a good mix of returners and a strong incoming class," said second year head coach Jimmy Kolaitis.Β

Fall ball begins with a pair of road trips to Oxford(s) starting Sept. 28 in the Tera Ross Memorial Tournament in Oxford, Ala. where UAB will play two games. The Blazers will then head to Oxford, Miss. to play Ole Miss and Memphis on Oct. 6.Β

UAB will host three home games in a row starting on Oct. 12 against Shelton State and Montevallo. They will remain at Mary Bowers Field the next day to take on Stillman.

The fall season concludes on the road in Knoxville, Tenn. as the Green and Gold match up against Tennessee at Sherri Parker Lee stadium.

"Our goal this fall is to put ourselves in a competitive environment through practice and our fall games. We want to be as fully prepared for spring as possible," added Kolaitis. "I feel like we did that with our fall games by adding a few four-year programs and two super regional teams. We are excited to get going and have a chance to compete against quality programs throughout the fall."

Softball season tickets are on sale by purchasing the 2019-20 Gold Card for $65.
