UAB Earns Third Consecutive ITA Community Service Award

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's tennis team has won the ITA Community Service Award for the Southern Region. This marks the third straight year the Blazers have taken home the award.
The team participated in several volunteer projects including the Martin Luther King, Jr. Cleanup, Habitat for Humanity and free youth clinics at George Ward and Greystone Country Club.
"Our team takes a lot of pride in the core values of our athletic department," said head coach Mark Tjia. "We are honored to receive this award for the third straight year."
