Men’s Golf Concludes Regular Season at Shoal Creek

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB men's golf team concludes the regular season this Monday and Tuesday, April 15-16, in its own backyard for the Auburn Intercollegiate at Shoal Creek Country Club.
This is the final tune up for the Blazers before they head to Texarkana, Ark., for the Conference USA Championship next week, April 22-25.
"We are looking forward to a competing on a golf course we call home," said head coach Mike Wilson. "It is always fun to play in Birmingham where family and friends can watch. This will be a good test for our team to get ready for conference."
The Blazers will field a team consisting of William Walker III, Nick Robillard, John Snoddy, Murray Naysmith and Sam Goldasich. The field will play 18 holes on Monday and the final 36 holes on Tuesday.
UAB will be paired with Troy and Jacksonville University on Monday at tees off at 12 p.m. The rest of the field consists of the host Auburn Tigers, Alabama, Bowling Green, Charlotte, Georgia State, Jacksonville State, Kentucky, North Florida, Lamar, LSU, Samford and Tennessee.
Walker III looks to keep his excellent season going as he heads towards postseason play. The junior is coming off an eighth-place finish at The Hayt and has been top 10 in three of his four spring tournaments this season.
