The Blazers are coming off a three-game sweep of Holy Cross in a series played at Riddle-Pace Field in Troy, Ala. UAB scored 34 runs in the series against the Crusaders, the most it has scored in a series since plating 39 runs in a three game tilt against Savannah State March 27-29, 2009.

Jacksonville State (2-5, 0-0 Ohio Valley) won its first two games of the 2019 campaign against North Alabama but dropped the last game of the series to begin a five-game losing skid.
Alex Webb leads the Gamecocks on the offensive side, batting .364 with a home run and 4 RBI in 22 at-bats. Jacksonville State is set to throw Dylan Hathcock who has made three appearances on the season, all in relief, and carries a 6.00 ERA with a pair of strikeouts.
