UAB Concludes Fall Slate in the Bahamas at White Sands Invitational

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB men's golf team will conclude its fall slate with a trip to Nassau, Bahamas, for the White Sans Invitational hosted by the University of Houston this Friday through Sunday, Nov. 1-3.
The tournament will be played at The Ocean Club and features 18 holes on each day of action. The course is a par 72 that plays 7,159 yards.
UAB checks in at No. 46 in the national rankings and is one of five teams inside the top 50 in this weekend's field. The top two teams in the nation are also in the field with No. 1 Wake Forest and No. 2 SMU competing as well.
Along with UAB, Wake Forest and SMU, the field consists of No. 22 Arkansas, Florida State, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, No. 28 Houston, Illinois State, Louisiana Tech, Miami (OH), Middle Tennessee, Northern Illinois, Samford and Wisconsin.
The Blazers will field a team that consists of William Walker III, Murray Naysmith, Ben Reichert, Khavish Varadan and Alfie Fox. The first four have played in every tournament this season, while Fox is making his first appearance in the lineup. Fox is coming off an individual title at the TVA Credit Union Invitational two weeks ago in Florence, Ala.
Walker and Naysmith look to continue their outstanding senior seasons as neither have finished a tournament above par. Each have recorded three top 15 finishes this year.
