No. 25 Men’s Golf Places 10th at Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational

VERO BEACH, Fla.– The No. 25 UAB men's golf team placed 10th at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational hosted by No. 7 Notre Dame in Vero Beach, Fla.
The Blazers shot -10 in Tuesday's final round and moved up three spots to conclude the tournament at -13 overall.
Senior William Walker III once again led the Blazers as he finished in a tie for 28th at -5. After shooting a two-over 74 in the opening round, Walker III fired a four-under 68 in the second round and a three-under 69 to notch his third-consecutive tournament under par.
Fellow senior Murray Naysmith was two shots behind Walker III and finished in a tie for 38th at -3. Naysmith went 70-71-72 (213) as he also completed his third tournament under par.
Freshman Khavish Varadan (71-72-72 = 215, -1) recoded his first collegiate tournament in the red and tied for 45th overall, while junior Ben Reichert shot even par (74-73-69 = 216, E) and tied for 49th.
Sophomore John Snoddy shot a final round four-under 68 and moved up 13places in the final round. He ultimately shot +3 (77-74-68) and finished 60th overall.
The Blazers have one final tournament of the fall slate, which comes Nov. 1-2 in the Bahamas at the White Sands Intercollegiate hosted by the University of Houston.
