Women's Soccer Hosts Old Dominion for Bark at the Park Match

BIRMINGHAM – UAB wraps up their 2019 home schedule at BBVA Field on Sunday afternoon when they take on Old Dominion. Kickoff is at noon.
THE SERIES
One of UAB's newer series, the two teams have squared off only three times, beginning in 2013. UAB won the initial match 2-0, while ODU was won the last two including last season's 1-0 victory in Norfolk.
UAB LATELY
The Blazers are coming off a hard-fought 2-1 setback against Charlotte on Thursday. Asha Zuniga netted the Blazers only goal on a penalty kick.
UAB took home a pair of Conference USA weekly awards on Monday when Melissa Cameron was named Defensive Player of the Week and Eve Beyer Goalkeeper of the Week.
ODU LATELY
The Monarchs tied FAU on Thursday 1-1. Allie Brimmer scored ODU's only goal. On the road this season, Old Dominion is 4-2-1. Amanda Nhek is fouth in C-USA with eight goals and 21 points. Keeper Kasey Perry is 10th with a 1.35 GAA.
PROMOTIONS
This is the Bark in the Park match. Fans are welcome to bring their dogs. Those who do will be asked to sign a waiver when they enter and will be guided toward the dog-friendly seating (the bleacher seating on the left side of the stands when facing them). Wristbands will be issued so fans can exit for pet potty breaks and to check out the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter adoption truck.
UP NEXT
The final three regular season matches are on the road. WKU on Oct. 25, Southern Miss on Oct. 27 and Middle Tennessee on Nov. 1.
