Women's Soccer Visits to La Tech on Friday Afternoon

BIRMINGHAM – UAB (2-4-4, 0-1-1 C-USA) will travel to Ruston, Louisiana to face LA Tech (11-1-1, 3-1-0 C-USA) on Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. This is the rescheduled contest from the match that was postponed on Sept. 22.
THE SERIES
LA Tech leads the all-time series 4-1-0. The Blazers and Lady Techsters first met in 2014. In matches played in Houston, Rice leads 3-1-0. The teams have split the last two decisions, with both matches played in Birmingham.
UAB LATELY
The Blazers are coming off a 1-0 loss at Rice on Sunday. The Owls got the only goal of the match in the 87th minute. Megan Hudgens leads UAB with three goals and six points.
LA TECH LATELY
The Lady Techsters currently have an 11-match home winning streak, dating back to Aug. 19, 2018. LA Tech is coming off a Sunshine State sweep, defeating Florida Atlantic and FIU last week. Autumn Woodard is the reigning C-USA Offensive Player of the Week and is first in the NCAA with 15 goals and second with 34 points.

The Blazers return to Birmingham to face North Texas on Sunday. It is Youth Soccer Day at BBVA Field. Fans under 18 can wear their youth soccer team shirt or jersey for free admission. There will also be postgame autographs. Kickoff is 1 P.M.
