Women’s Golf Returns to Action at the Starmount Fall Classic

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's golf team tees off its second tournament of the season on Monday morning at the Starmount Fall Classic hosted by UNC Greensboro at Starmount Forest Country Club.
The tournament is set for 36 holes on Monday, followed by the final 18 holes on Tuesday. The Blazers will be paired with High Point and Tennessee Tech for the first two rounds.
Along with UAB, High Point and Tennessee Tech, the 15-team field consists of the host Spartans, Longwood, Western Carolina, Winthrop, Troy, Towson, William & Mary, Appalachian State, Tennessee, North Carolina A&T, Elon and Wofford.
UAB will field a team that consists of Tia Teiniketo, Kendall Johnson, Maria Donado, Kenna Hughes and Lexie Dawson, while Stephenie Fowler will play as an individual.
The Blazers opened the season at the USA Intercollegiate hosted by South Alabama, and will look to improve upon their 14th place finish in their first tournament of the year.
