Women’s Golf Places 8th in Final Fall Tournament

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's golf team placed 8th overall at The Robbie this past week at the RTJ Golf Trail at Hampton Cove in Huntsville.

Freshman Lauren Paige Slatton led the Blazers for a third time this season with a 21st place. Slatton's tournament was highlighted by a second round 70 (-2) as she finished +9 overall (78-70-77 = 225).

Chloe Ruble was UAB's second finisher in a tie for 45th place at +24 (86-75-79 = 240). Maria Antonia Escobar tied for 48th at +27 (81-78-84), while Anna Krieger 980-85-79 = 244, +28) and Annika Gomeyac (84-85-75 = 244, +28) each tied for 50th.

The Blazers finished their fall schedule with a record of 23-41-0 which was highlighted by a 4th place finish at the Charles Braun Jr. Intercollegiate.

UAB will resume action on March 2-3, 2026 in Huntsville.
