Blazers Host Tulane, Travel to Mississippi State

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB women's tennis team continues its spring schedule Saturday at noon against Tulane and Sunday at 3 p.m. on the road against Mississippi State.
Saturday's home match features a prize court in the 10-minute intermission between doubles and singles where fans are invited to come onto the court and hit tennis balls at targets. Rackets will be provided and prizes will be awarded if anyone hits a target. Over $150 in prizes, t-shirts and backpacks will all be available to win. Free pizza will also be provided during the break between doubles and singles.
Head coach Mark Tjia will also offer a free kids clinic directly following the match against Tulane. Children ages 6-18 are all welcome to participate in the one-hour clinic.

We are going to be tested physically, mentally and emotionally during this time and it all starts with a Tulane team that was ranked last year. We are expecting a large and vociferous crowd to help us defend our 2-0 start at home."
