UAB Softball Announces Fall Schedule

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - UAB softball will play eight games this fall as a part of its warm-up to the 2018 season.
The Green and Gold alumni game will kick off the fall schedule on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 9 a.m. at Mary Bowers Field.
UAB will then head to the Tera Ross Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 30. The Blazers will play three games that day at 10 a.m. against Wallace State, at 11:45 a.m. versus the Georgia Military Academy and at 3:15 p.m. against Enterprise.
All three games will be played at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Ala.
The green and gold will play a double-header at home against CACC starting at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 3.
The final game of the fall schedule will be another double-header at home against Snead State on Thursday, Oct. 12. That double header will also start at 4 p.m.
"We are very excited to get our fall season underway," head coach Amanda Ellis said. "The girls have been working extremely hard on and off the field and this brings us one step closer to the start of the 2018 season."
UAB finished the 2017 season a 21-33 record and went 12-12 in conference play. This will be the first season under interim head coach Amanda Ellis after long-time head coach Marla Townsend was promoted to Senior Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Initiatives and Engagement.

Saturday, Sept. 30 - Tera Ross Tournament:
vs. Wallace State - Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Ala. - 10 a.m.
