National Tenpin Rankings
WHITEWATER, Wisc. – The National Tenpin Coaches Association released its second poll of the season and the UAB Bowling team found that it had moved up two spots to No. 21.
“I am excited for the second round of rankings this season,” head coach Michelle Crews said. “We moved up two spots which I am very proud of. The team has been working very hard and pulling out some great wins and having other coaches notice that is tremendous. We have a young team, it is hard to remember that, they are still learning and gaining valuable knowledge with each event. They are not always as consistent as they need to be, but they will get there as they gain more experience. As we go into our final two regular season events of the season that girls have to keep pushing and working hard if we want to continue to move up in the polls.”
UAB is 35-27 this season and 21-17 since the last polls were released. The Blazers have competed in three tournaments with a seventh place at the AllState Sugar Bowl, placed second at the Mid-Winter Invitational, and their most recent finish was in second place the FAMU Rattler Invitational.
UAB returns to the lanes Feb. 10-12 in Houston when the Blazers are set to play in the Stephen F. Austin Jacks Invitational.
