BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB men's soccer team hosts its fourth of five straight home games on Saturday night when it welcomes Old Dominion to BBVA Compass Field on Saturday night. The game has a scheduled kick-off of 7 p.m. The Blazers are currently 3-2-2 this year and 1-0-0 in Conference USA while the Monarchs are 3-3-1 and 0-1-0 in conference.
"I thought last weekend was a really complete performance for us," said UAB head coach Mike Getman. "We had all of our players available for the first time this season. That certainly made a difference but everybody played well. We've been progressing week after week and hopefully we can continue that trend."

GREEK NIGHT
UAB men's soccer is hosting Greek Night for Saturday's game. There will be a free tailgate with food, drinks and a DJ starting at 5:30 p.m. and all students are encouraged to wear their letters. Additionally, the first 150 fans in the gate will received a free fanny pack.
LAST TIME OUT
The UAB men's soccer team shut out Marshall in the Conference USA opener for both teams on Saturday night 3-0. The Blazers won for the seventh time in as many tries against Marshall at home.
The Blazers controlled the game from start to finish. Their first goal came off the foot of forward Rami Dajani. The senior had missed the last three games but showed little rust getting UAB on the board in the 22nd minute when a botched clearance by Marshall went right to Dajani in front of the net and finished it with a well-struck ball.
Marshall remained down by just the one goal despite UAB controlling possession. The Blazers got back on the board in the 77th minute with an excellent individual effort by James Ngoe to net his first of the season. The senior defender/midfielder crossed up a defender in a one-on-one situation and finished with a shot into the upper right 90. It was his first goal since 2014. The Blazers tacked on one more in the 85th minute. Henrique Sposito laid a perfectly weighted ball ahead to forward Chase Rushing. The freshman forward finished with a shot across the ground for his first career goal.
DAJANI MOVING UP THE LADDER
Senior forward Rami Dajani is the only player on the Blazers roster to register more than two career goals. The native of Niles, Ill., has scored 14 times in his career, placing him just seven goals shy of the top ten. Dajani returned after a three-game hiatus last Saturday against Marshall and scored the opening and game-winning goal. He is tasked with anchoring a front line this season that is likely to consist of entirely freshmen outside of himself.
SCOUTING OLD DOMINION
The Monarchs had yet to leave their home of Norfolk, Va., before this week and suffered a 5-1 loss at VCU in their most recent outing. Old Dominion sports a 3-3-1 record on the year and has struggled defensively, allowing a league-high 13 goals. However, the Monarchs have never lost to the Blazers (7-0-0) and a perennially contender in Conference USA with 11 NCAA Tournament appearances over the last 14 years.
Individually, Sebastian Hauret leads the team in scoring with six points. The French defender has racked up four assists to date to go along with a goal against Radford on September 11. Alex Tiesenhausen has played the majority of time in net for the Monarchs, missing just one half of action. The senior ranks only behind UAB's Joe Kuzminsky in saves (31) within C-USA.
"Old Dominion is always a tough challenge for us," stated Getman. "They have a lot of good players that play incredibly and are well-organized. You have to have a great performance if you want to beat them."
