Blazers Tabbed Seventh in NSCAA Regional Rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The UAB men’s soccer team is ranked seventh in the southeast of the latest NSCAA Regional Rankings. The Blazers are 2-2-2 this season and begin Conference USA play this weekend against Marshall.
UAB split its two games this past weekend with a 1-0 loss to Tulsa followed by a 2-1 victory over Rhode Island.
Charlotte tops the region with a 2-0-0 record. They are followed by North Florida who stands at 2-0-2.
Three C-USA teams make up the next three slots. New Mexico (4-2-0), Kentucky (3-1-1), and Old Dominion (3-1-1) follow in that order.
Florida Gulf Coast is the only other team ahead of the Blazers, slotted at sixth with a 2-2-1 record. Coastal Carolina (1-2-1), Florida International (2-2-1), and Jacksonville (3-2-0) round out the top 10, respectively.
UAB and the Thundering Herd kick off at 7 p.m. at BBVA Compass Field on Saturday, September 17.
