UAB Drops Match to Georgia State

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB women’s tennis team (1-3) fell in its season home opener to Georgia State (1-0), 7-0, at George Ward.
The Blazers put up a fight in doubles play, but was unable to secure victories on courts one and three, allowing the Panthers to take a 1-0 lead.
Despite valiant efforts in singles play, UAB fell on courts one through six as Georgia State took home a 7-0 victory.
UAB returns to the courts tomorrow as they take on Kennesaw at noon. Admission is free and there will be complimentary pizza.
