UAB Softball to Host 2015 Blazer Bash

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Head softball coach Marla Townsend and the UAB softball program invites fans to attend the 2015 Blazer Bash/Meet the Team banquet on Friday, Sept. 11 and Saturday, Sept. 12.
The weekend’s events are kicked off with the Meet the Team Banquet on Friday, Sept. 11 at 6:30 p.m. The dinner will be located inside Bartow Arena. Price for the banquet is $25 per person, which includes dinner and a t-shirt.
Saturday, Sept. 12 features the annual Green & Gold Alumni Game between the 2015-16 UAB softball team and the athletes who served as the building blocks of the Blazer softball program. First pitch is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the UAB Softball Field.
Following the alumni game, a cookout will take place behind the UAB Softball Field.
The Blazers are coming off their sixth consecutive season with 30 or more wins and 15 or more conference wins. The Blazers shattered four team records and recorded the longest win streak in program history in 2015. Senior shortstop Caitlin Attfield also became the first player in program history to be named C-USA Player of the Year.
