BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The UAB men's soccer team opens its 2015 exhibition slate Tuesday when it travels to No. 18 Louisville for a 6:30 p.m. match.

UAB enters the preseason receiving votes in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll, while the Cardinals enter the year ranked No. 18 nationally.
Tuesday night's match will be the first of two tune-up matches for the Green and Gold, as the Blazers will welcome No. 11 Clemson to Birmingham Saturday, Aug. 22 for an exhibition at West Campus Field. The squad will also host its annual soccer clinic on Saturday and information on that free event can be found here.
UAB and Louisville last met on the pitch in 2012, when the two squads played to a 1-1 tie to open the season in exhibition play. Not including exhibition matches, UAB holds a 10-1-3 advantage over the Cardinals in the all-time series.
