Women's Golf Finishes Ninth at River Landing Classic

WALLACE, N.C. -- UAB's women's golf team fired a final round score 316, finishing at 927 overall, to place in a tie for ninth at the River Landing Classic at the River Landing Course Sunday afternoon.
Holly Robinson led the way in the final round, surging to a 1-over, 73, in her final 18 holes, jumping up to a 14th place finish at 10-over, 226.
Sydney Snodgrass, UAB's leader entering the final round of action, dropped an 81, finishing tied for 36th at 16-over, 232. Freshman Juliana Sebastian turned in an 82 in her final 18 holes to finish tied for 40th at 20-over, 236.
After posting 77s in each of her first two rounds, Rebecca Chandler fired an 84 on Sunday, posting an overall score of 22-over, 238. Margaret Yeh rounded out the field at 31-over, 247.
Columbia powered past Delaware for the team title, after turning in a 291 on Sunday, finishing 22-over, 886 overall for the tournament. Jacqueline Chulya's 69 Sunday pushed her to the individual lead, claiming the individual title at even-par, 216.
The Blazers return to the course to close out the season April 20-22 at the Conference USA Championship in Fort Myers, Fla.
