UAB Men's Soccer Releases Spring Schedule

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB men's soccer team released its 2015 spring schedule on Thursday, with four home events scheduled over the next couple months in preparation for the fall season.
"As we begin a new year with a new team, this schedule will challenge our players to be the best they can be," head coach Mike Getman said. "We start with a tough road game at Memphis and end with the amazing challenge of hosting the professional team, Atlanta Silverbacks. By the end of our spring we will have learned a lot and made great progress towards our ultimate goal of winning the National Championship."
The Blazers open the spring season with a matchup at its old Conference USA rival Memphis on Feb. 21, set for 2 p.m.
UAB hosts AUM on March 1 at 2 p.m., followed by the 7 vs. 7 tournament on Saturday, March 14 with matches set to run all day.
For the second-straight year, the Blazers will host the Atlanta Silverbacks of the North American Soccer League on Friday, March 20 at 7 p.m.
The spring season will close on Saturday, April 11, with the annual UAB alumni game set for 2 p.m. at West Campus Field.
