Women's Tennis Wraps Up Play At Samford Invitational

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The UAB women's tennis team wrapped up the final day of competition Sunday at the Samford Invitational.
The Blazers lost their three doubles matches to South Alabama and then dropped six singles matches to host Samford Sunday. UAB fell in three sets to the Bulldogs at No. 2-4 singles against the Bulldogs. UAB's best day in the three-day event came Saturday when the Blazers won seven of nine matches overall.
UAB will be in action again this weekend when the Blazers travel to Macon, Ga. to play in the Mercer Gridiron Classic, Oct. 9-11.
