BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB baseball team will face No. 16 Alabama on Tuesday night in Tuscaloosa, Ala. It marks the second time this season that UAB will face a nationally ranked opponent. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. at Sewell-Thomas Baseball Stadium.
Green and Gold Take Fifth Straight C-USA Series At LA Tech
UAB won its fifth consecutive three-game Conference USA series, dating back to 2013, on Saturday, April 5 at Louisiana Tech. It marked the squad’s first C-USA sweep since April 27-29, 2012 against Houston and first on the road since May 11-13, 2007 at Marshall.
The Blazers exploded for 19 runs on the weekend, its most runs scored in a three-game series in 2014. In total, the Blazers outscored Louisiana Tech 19-7 in the set at J.C. Love Field.

The UAB baseball team clubbed three home runs on Friday, April 4 at Louisiana Tech. Junior first baseman Jeff Schalk, sophomore infielder Evan Peterson, and sophomore catcher Mitch Williams all hit round-trippers at Ruston, La.
It marked the first time since March 30, 2013 at Marshall that the Blazers hit multiple home runs in a single game. In addition, UAB clubbed three home runs for the first time since April 8, 2012 at UCF. Peterson and Williams each hit their first home runs in a Green and Gold uniform on Friday night, as well.
