Kristen McGrath Named C-USA Player Of The Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – UAB senior Kristen McGrath has been named Conference USA Player of the Week following her performance at the plate this past week, the league office announced Monday.
The senior from Tampa, Fla., finished with 11 RBI on the week over five games, including two home runs. She totaled nine hits (9-for-15, .600) with a double, slugged at 1.067 percent and scored three runs.
She totaled three RBI in three-straight games against Kennesaw State and Charlotte, including a five-RBI day in UAB’s doubleheader sweep over the Owls on Tuesday. She launched a two-run home run in Friday night’s game one of the doubleheader against Charlotte, to finish with three RBI in both games against the 49ers.
The weekly honor marks the third for a UAB player this season, as senior Leigh Streetman picked up Pitcher of the Week honors March 3 and March 17.
