Women's Tennis Ends Regular Season At Home

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The UAB women's tennis team wraps up its regular season with a pair of home matches. The Blazers host ULM at 12:30 p.m. CT on Friday, before entertaining Troy on Saturday at 2 p.m. CT.
Saturday's contest against the Trojans will mark Senior Day for Blazer seniors Sarah Witkowski and Caroline Faught. UAB's senior duo will be honored with a special presentation before play begins on Saturday.
UAB enters its final weekend of regular season action with an 8-12 overall record. The Blazers are led in singles by freshman Pardis Kianoush, who boasts an 11-8 record. Meanwhile, UAB sophomores Amy Lowther and Elaine Simon have each totaled eight singles triumphs this season.
In doubles, the Blazers are paced by the No. 1 tandem of Simon and Rachel Daniell, who are 8-8 at the top spot.
