Blazers Wrap Up Fall At Roberta Alison Fall Classic

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - UAB's women's tennis team wrapped up its fall season this weekend with a trip to the Roberta Alison Fall Classic.
In doubles, the UAB tandem of Caroline Faught and Rachel Daniell played two matches in the consolation bracket, finishing 1-1 on Saturday. Faught and Daniell fell to the Alabama pair of Natalia Maynetto and Aryn Greene, 8-4, before downing Loyola Marymount's team of Marquard and Waschuk, 8-1.
The Blazers were strong in singles play on Saturday. After falling to Georgia Tech's AlexisPropuik, 7-6 (4), 2-6, 7-6 (8), Daniell downed Loyola Marymount's Julia Norlin, 6-0, 6-3.
Pardis Kianoush continued UAB's strong singles play by taking a 6-3, 6-2 win over Michigan's Annie Wierda after falling to Alabama's Bennett Dunn, 6-1, 6-1. Meanwhile, Amy Lowther took a 6-2, 6-4 win over Toni Ormond from Ball State to conclude the day for the Blazers.
