Former Blazer Fahro Alihodzic Signs Professional Contract In Europe

Located in Crete, Greece and founded in 1986, the AGO Rethymno Aegean team participates in the Greek league, which is one of the top professional leagues in Europe. Currently, the team has a 3-2 record and is fifth in the league. Other members of the highly-competitive conference include European Giants Panathinaikos -- a six-time European Champion -- and Olympiacos, which is a three-time European Champion.
A native of Vlasenica, Bosnia, Alihodzic transferred to the Blazers after playing at Fordham University during the 2009-10 season and at Southern (Iowa) Community College during the 2011-12 campaign. The 6-foot-10 center scored 592 points and totaled 343 rebounds in two seasons at UAB.
Better known as "Foz," he was the only Blazer to start every game during the 2013-14 season and registered three double-doubles during his time at UAB. In 64 games as a Blazer, Alihodzic averaged 9.3 ppg and tallied a total of 50 blocks.
