Women's Tennis Wraps Up Samford Fall Round Robin

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – UAB’s women’s tennis team finished competition at the Samford Fall Round Robin on Sunday at the Samford Tennis Complex.
The Blazers picked up two wins on their final day of competition. In doubles, the UAB tandem of Elaine Simon and Amy Lowther defeated South Alabama’s Laura Matuskova and Silvia Martinkova, 8-2.
In singles, UAB’s Rachel Daniell defeated Samford's Stephanie N'tcha, 2-6, 6-4, 6-3, to give the Blazers their lone singles win of the day.
UAB now takes a weekend off before making the short to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to participate in the Roberta Alison Fall Classic on Oct. 31-Nov.2.
