BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB men's golf team returns to action this weekend when the Blazers begin the 2013 John Hayt Collegiate Invitational. The three-day, 54-hole tournament hosted by the University of North Florida will be played at Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
The 14-team field includes UAB, Arkansas, UCF, Coastal Carolina, Duke, Florida, Furman, Jacksonville, LSU, Mercer, North Florida, North Texas, Tennessee, and Tulsa.
Four teams in the field are currently ranked in the top-20 by Golfweek Magazine: No. 7 Florida, No. 9 Duke, No. 12 LSU, and No. 16 Arkansas. In addition, six other teams rank in the top-50.
In the lineup for the Blazers will be Paul Dunne, Martin Rohwer, Wilson McDonald, Hunter Hawkins, and Sam Love. Thomas Sutton will also be competing as an individual.
Rohwer, a freshman from Natal, South Africa, led the Blazers in their spring opener a few weeks ago at the Gator Invitational. Rohwer fired a final round one-under par 69 to finish with a total of 211 (+1) which was good for 10th place overall.

Participants will play 54 holes over three days, with 18-holes being played on each day, at the par-72 course totaling 6,910 yards.
