Ragon Wins Consolation Draw At ITA Southern Regional

AUBURN Ala. – UAB women's tennis freshman Catherine Ragon continued her impressive fall season on Monday as she won the singles consolation draw at the ITA Southern Regional.
Ragon, who won the No. 5 singles flight at the Steve Baras Fall Classic to begin the fall, continues to impress in her first season with the Blazers. On Monday, she defeated Louisiana Tech's Manoela Chicacchio, 6-3, 1-6, 1-0 (4).
With Ragon's victory, the Blazers wrap up play at the ITA Southern Regional and head to the Roberta Alison Fall Classic on Nov. 1-3.
