Moore Invited To Participate At Portsmouth Invitational

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- UAB senior forward Cameron Moore has been invited to participate in the 60th annual Portsmouth Invitational. The event, which runs from April 11-14, provides college seniors with the opportunity to play in front of NBA administrators and coaches.
Moore is among 64 players invited to the tournament field, which featues eight teams with full rosters playing against each other.
Moore finished a successful senior year at UAB by claiming NABC All-District First Team honors. He was tabbed the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year, as well as a first-team all-conference honoree.
During the 2011-12 campaign, the San Antonio, Texas native became the Blazers' all-time single-season rebounding leader (325 total rebounds and a 10.5 rebounds per game average). He finished the campaign leading C-USA in rebounds and blocks (2.4) per game, while finishing fourth in the league in scoring average (16.1 ppg). Moore also recorded 14 double-doubles during the year, second-most in the league.
Moore closed his UAB career ranked second in school history in double-doubles (28) and blocked shots (137) and fourth in total rebounds (747). With 1,000 career points, he is one of just three Blazers in school history to top 1,000 points and 700 rebounds in his career.
Moore joins LaRon Dendy (Middle Tennessee), Jarrod Jones (Ball State), Rakim Sanders (Fairfield), Kent Bazemore (Old Dominion), Darryl Bryant (West Virginia), Charles Hinkle (American) and Zack Rosen (Pennsylvania) as part of the K&D Rounds Landscaping team. Their first game is slated for Wednesday, April 11 at 8 p.m. CT.
