Women's Tennis To Meet Emory Tuesday Afternoon

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The UAB women's tennis team begins the final week of its regular season with a Tuesday match against Division III power Emory. The contest is scheduled for a 1 p.m. CT start at Brook Highland Racquet Club in Birmingham.
The Blazers (6-9) are coming off a split of two matches late last week against Conference USA opponents. UAB posted a 4-3 win over Southern Miss before dropping a 7-0 decision to No. 57 Memphis.
Emory (10-3) checks in at No. 2 in the latest ITA D-III rankings. The Eagles have won 10 of their past 11 matches and posted a 9-0 shutout victory over D-III No. 10 DePauw in their most recent action.
Following Tuesday's contest, UAB will remain in Birmingham to host Louisiana-Monroe on Friday (12 p.m.) at George Ward Park and Tulane on Saturday (11 a.m.) at the UAB Tennis Courts as the regular season concludes.
The Blazers are gearing up for the Conference USA Championships, which are slated for April 19-22 in Memphis, Tenn.
