Fan Appreciation Night Set For UAB-Tulsa Game

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The UAB athletics department has announced that next Wednesday's home men's basketball contest against Tulsa will be Fan Appreciation Night. That contest, which will be the final regular season home game for the Blazers, will be televised nationally on CBS College Sports and is set to tip at 7 p.m. CT.
There will be a couple of promotions as a thank you to fans for their support of UAB basketball.
The first is that current UAB men's basketball season ticket holders will be able to "Bring a Friend" to the Tulsa game. A maximum of two people can be a guest of a season ticket holder and receive free admission. If season ticket holders would like to participate in the promotion, they will need to email the ticket office at tickets@uab.edu or call the ticket office beginning Monday at 10 a.m. in order to receive the "Bring a Friend" tickets.
Fans can also purchase tickets for just $1.00 in the "Hoop and Hollar For A Dollar" promotion. For one day only, on Tuesday, February 28th from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., fans can purchase $1.00 tickets to Wednesday night's game. The tickets can be purchased by coming to the UAB ticket office at Bartow Arena or online by logging onto UABsports.com/tickets and typing in the promo code "HOLLAR" on Tuesday, Feb. 28.
In addition to the promotions, UAB merchandise will be randomly given out throughout the game.
The contest will also serve as Senior Night. The 2011-12 senior class of Todd O'Brien, Beas Hamga and Cameron Moore will all be honored with a pregame ceremony just before tip off.
