UAB Softball Announces Fall Schedule

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The UAB softball team will host three teams at the UAB Softball Field starting Sept. 23, before traveling to Oxford, Ala. to participate in the Tera Ross Memorial Tournament.
The Blazers will play four games in two days when they face Wallace-State Hanceville for a double headers on Friday, Sept. 23 at 2 p.m. CT, followed by a twin bill on Saturday against Shelton State at 11 a.m. CT.
UAB will take on Ole Miss on Thursday, Sept. 29 to complete its fall home schedule. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m. CT.
The Blazers will wrap up fall play at the fifth annual Tera Ross Memorial Tournament hosted by Jacksonville State. The tournament begins on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Oxford Softball Complex in Oxford, Ala.
UAB is coming off its most successful season in school history. The Blazers finished the 2011 season with an overall record of 39-19, the best in program history. The 39 wins match the school record set in 2002.
Before the fall schedule is underway, UAB will host the annual Blazer Bash/Meet the Team Banquet on Sept. 16-17 to celebrate the beginning of the 2011-12 softball season. Festivities include the annual Green & Gold Alumni Game and the Blazer Bash/Meet the Team banquet.
