BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The UAB women's tennis team will host its second annual Campus Kids' Day on Saturday as the Blazers play Troy at noon CT in their final match of the regular season.
Admission to the event is free, and the first 50 kids ages 12 and under will receive free giveaways and free food. UAB's campus courts are located on 11th Avenue South between 16th and 17th Street South.
Campus Kids' Days take place across the country as an initiative of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) to expose more junior players, their parents and coaches to college tennis varsity team matches.
Saturday's match will also serve as UAB's Senior Day with festivities beginning at 11:45 a.m. The Blazers will honor four seniors -- Jenny Cape, Brittany DeFelice, Giorgia Romeo and Evelien Strijker.
The Troy contest will be the third match in three days for the Blazers, which host Chattanooga on Thursday at noon at the Lakeshore Tennis Center and Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) on Friday at 1 p.m. on campus.
