Hey Blazer Fans!!
The 2011 season is getting cranked up and the team is super excited about it! There is a ton to look forward to with this talented group of young ladies and we are ready to see what this season has in store for us.
We started the season a little shaky at the All-Alabama Classic but we really picked it up this past weekend in Tampa. We played some good competition and some very exciting games. I have to say my favorite game so far this season was DePaul. We went into extra innings and I had the privilege of pitching such a close game and we were focused which for me is the most important thing. The defense was solid, we hit the ball well, and it was just a great team effort! Although it's a loss in the books, it's a win to me. The night before the bats really came alive in the USF game and when we play like that we are unstoppable. After the win against Fordham on Sunday the team got to go to the beach and we loved it! Tampa was so beautiful.
Now we are getting settled back into Birmingham. We are working hard and keeping focus ready to face Alabama tomorrow for our first home game. So fans come out and support us on Tuesday! It is going to be a GREAT game and I hope y'all are as EXCITED as we are!!! Love Y'all!
