Blazer Bowlers Head To Bethune-Cookman Tourney

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The UAB bowling team travels to Ormond Beach, Fla., this weekend to compete in Bethune-Cookman's Wildcat Invitational.
The tournament gets underway Friday at 9:30 a.m. ET (8:30 a.m. CT) at Ormond Lanes and runs through Sunday.
In addition to UAB and tournament host Bethune-Cookman, the 12-team field also includes Alabama State, Delaware State, Fairleigh Dickinson, Florida A&M, Morgan State, North Carolina A&T, Salem, Southern, South Carolina State and Tulane.
The format features six Baker four-game matches per team on Friday, followed by six traditional team games for each team on Saturday. The action conclude Sunday with two best-of-seven bracket matches.
This weekend marks the second of eight regular season events on the slate for UAB in its inaugural season of intercollegiate bowling. The Blazers placed fourth last week at Alabama A&M's Bulldog Challenge in their first-ever tournament.

Two of UAB's matches will be streamed live: Friday's 1:30 p.m. CT match against Delaware State and Saturday's 1:10 p.m. match versus Tulane. Sunday's semifinals and finals will also be streamed.
