BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Rachel Daniell suffered a three-set loss in the main draw consolation bracket and Menanteau Moolman fell in the B flight semifinals on Saturday for the UAB women's tennis team at Samford in the USTA/ITA Southern Regional.
Daniell won her opening set, 6-3, against Samford's Madelie Janse Van Rensburg before dropping the second set, 6-2, and then falling by a 10-6 score in a match tiebreaker for the third set.
Moolman, who won her first two matches on Friday to advance to Saturday's B flight semifinals, lost to Vivian Polak of Louisiana-Monroe, 7-5, 6-2.
