UAB Women's Tennis Set For Tournament At Alabama

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The UAB women's tennis team continues its fall season this weekend at Alabama's Roberta Alison Fall Classic in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
In addition to UAB, the tournament field includes players from the host Crimson Tide, Baylor, Georgia State, Kentucky, Memphis, Mississippi State, Samford, Tulane and UT Martin.
The tournament follows a flighted format with two rounds of doubles and one round of singles on Friday, one round of each on Saturday and the final round of singles on Sunday.
UAB opened its fall campaign a week ago at the Fall Blue & Gray Classic in Montgomery, Ala. Freshman Caroline Faught won three singles matches at the event and teamed with Jenny Cape to win one of the doubles flights.
This weekend's action marks the second of five events on the schedule for the Blazers this fall.
