Ceylan Engin Named To Chi Alpha Sigma

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- UAB senior women's tennis player Ceylan Engin has been inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society.
Engin, from Istanbul, Turkey, joins 10 fellow Blazer student-athletes who were inducted into the Alabama Alpha chapter last December. The honor society was established to recognize student-athletes for their outstanding scholarship, athletic achievements and excellent character and citizenship.
To be eligible for membership, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or better, have lettered in their sport and be recommended by their coach and athletic advisor.
Engin will throw out the first pitch at Wednesday's UAB softball game vs. South Alabama (3:00 p.m.).
