Menanteau Moolman Tabbed UAB Student-Athlete Of The Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Menanteau Moolman, a sophomore for the Blazer women's tennis team, has been named the UAB Student-Athlete of the Week.
Moolman recently turned in a solid weekend at the Steve Baras Fall Classic in Chattanooga, Tenn. The Bloemhof, South Africa, native advanced to the consolation finals of her singles flight and also teamed with Caroline Faught for a semifinal finish in doubles.
A Dean's List honoree last spring, Moolman owns a 3.64 GPA as an accounting major. She was selected as an ITA Scholar-Athlete in 2010 and played a major role in the UAB women's tennis program being named an ITA All-Academic Team.
Moolman and the Blazers continue their fall tournament schedule this weekend with a trip to Houston, Texas, for the Rice Fall Classic.
The UAB Student-Athlete of the Week is highlighted each Sunday night on Blazers All-Access, which airs locally at 11:35 p.m. on ABC 33/40.
