Women's Tennis Travels to UNF Fall Invitational

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The UAB women's tennis team is set to compete this weekend at the UNF Hampton Inn 9A & Baymeadows Fall Tennis Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla.
Play gets underway Friday at the UNF Tennis Center and continues through Sunday. The Blazers will have competitors in each of the three singles flights and both doubles flights.
In addition to UAB and tournament host North Florida, the field also includes players from Bethune-Cookman, Coastal Carolina, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia Southern, Indiana, Jacksonville, Samford, Troy, UCF and USC Upstate.
UAB has competed in two flighted tournaments already this fall. The Blazers have had highlights in both tournaments with Brittany DeFelice winning her flight to lead four top-three singles finishers at the Fall Blue & Gray Classic in Montgomery, Ala., and the doubles team of Paula Alvarez and Giorgia Romeo reaching the semifinals of their flight at the Troy Fall Invitational.
