Strijker Named To All-Conference USA Third Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Evelien Strijker, a freshman on the UAB women's tennis team, was named to the All-Conference USA Third Team on Wednesday. Strijker played No. 1 singles for the Blazers this past season where she earned a record of 5-7.
For the year, Strijker was 11-9 in singles play and teamed with senior Antonia Nugent to go 7-8 in doubles play.
The Blazers finished the 2008 season with a record of 9-6 (3-2 C-USA).
