UAB Softball To Host Sixth Annual Blazer Bash

"We are looking forward to the weekend events and being able to introduce our 2007-08 team," head coach Marla Townsend said. "This is a chance for our friends, family, and supporters to get to know the team, share memories, and look ahead to the upcoming season."
The Blazer Bash Banquet will be held in the Green and Gold Room at Bartow and includes dinner and a free t-shirt with reservations. Reservations can be made through UAB assistant coach Lucy Bass at (205) 975-1759 or by e-mail at lucy1@uab.edu. Fans will also have the opportunity to attend the UAB men's soccer match versus Birmingham-Southern at West Campus Field beginning at 8 p.m.
Saturday morning will feature the always enjoyable Alumni Game beginning at 11 a.m. George Ward Park Field 6. The weekend's events will conclude Saturday night with a tailgate held at Legion Field prior to the kickoff of UAB's first home football game of the 2007 season.
UAB's individual award winners will also be honored on Friday in regards to the numerous accomplishments that were garnered throughout the 2007 season.
