UAB Baseball Takes Part in Classroom Connection Program

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Members of the UAB baseball team made an appearance at Hill Elementary on Wednesday as part of UAB's Classroom Connection program. The baseball student-athletes spoke to students about the importance of good nutrition, exercise and other good life choices. Senior Grant Addison and juniors Jimbo Crew and Brandon Flaherty spoke to the Hill students on Wednesday, while several other players have appeared as a part of UAB's Classroom Connection program this spring.
The Blazer baseball role models appeared at Norwood Elementary on Tuesday and previously spoke to students at Riverchase Middle School and Lee Elementary.
Members of the UAB baseball team have demonstrated leadership and excellence on the field and in the classroom. Three players were recently awarded with C-USA Academic Medals and 12 were named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll, while on the field, the Blazers have put themselves in position to qualify for their fourth straight Conference USA Tournament.
