Women's Tennis Faces Middle Tennessee In Regular Season Finale

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB women's tennis team looks to continue its four-match winning streak as the Blazers face Middle Tennessee in the final match of the regular season Friday at noon. The match will take place at the Buck Bouldin Tennis Center on the MTSU campus in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
The Blazers are coming off a 5-2 victory over Southern Miss last week. UAB improved to 11-5 overall and 2-1 in Conference USA action with the win. The Blazers won the doubles point and four of six singles matches in the competition. Additionally, junior Ornischa Maier-Knapp is looking to continue her personal win steak to eight matches against the Blue Raiders.
Middle Tennessee moved to 7-12 overall and ended its six-match losing streak with a 5-2 victory over Memphis Sunday. The Blue Raiders won all three doubles matches as well as the final four spots in the singles lineup to post the victory.
