Dear Parents and Campers:
It is time to make plans for our 5th Annual Holiday Baseball Camps. We are very excited about these camps and are looking forward to working with you and doing what we can to help you become an even better Baseball Player. The showcase camp for ages 15 through seniors in High School will be held on Saturday, December 20th, and the camp for ages 6 - 14 will be held on Monday, January 19th. January 19th is a school holiday honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Each camp will run from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. In the case of inclement weather, the 15 through seniors camp will be held on Sunday, December 21st and the 6 - 14 year old camp will be held on Saturday, January 24th.
The showcase camp December 20th will consist of a pro style tryout in the morning, and games in the afternoon. In the morning athletes will be timed in the sixty yard dash, as well as graded on arm strength, defense, and hitting. In the afternoon we will grade pitchers, as well as position players in game situations.
In the 6-14 year old camp, we will be teaching all areas of the game of Baseball: Hitting, Pitching, Fielding, Baserunning and Bunting.

Camp Cost:
The cost of the camp will be $80 per camper when registering in advance and $90 when registering the day of camp. A deposit fee of $40 must be received prior to the session in order to receive the $80 price. This $40 will be counted as part of the $80 camp fee. There will be a cutoff number for campers able to attend these day camps. Therefore, camp registrations will be accepted on a first come first served basis. A camp T-shirt is included in this fee.
How To Apply:
The attached application should be filled out completely and returned together with a $40 deposit or the full $80 camp fee to:

Lunch:
Each camper should bring his own lunch. We will store his food and give it out to him during our lunch break. Please mark lunches clearly.
Check-in will take place at the concession stand of Young Memorial Field. All campers should arrive between 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. Camp will begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m.
Checklist Of Things To Bring:
One pair of baseball shoes, one pair of tennis shoes, glove, jacket, and baseball pants or sweat pants. Bringing your personal bat is optional. If your bat is not already marked for identification, we will have someone available at check-in to mark it for you.
Facility:
The camp will be held at Young Memorial Field, the home of the Blazers. The field is located on the UAB campus on University Boulevard between 11th and 12th Street South.
