Women's Tennis Team Concludes Play At Ole Miss

OXFORD, Miss. ----- The UAB women's tennis team wrapped up competition at the Ole Miss Fall Tennis Classic here on Sunday afternoon, as Nadia Dellarciprete fell in the Blue Draw consolation final. Dellarciprete was the only Blazer to compete in the final day of the event, as she fell 6-2, 6-1 to Louisiana-Monroe's Diana Espinal.
Blazers Annamieke Elsholz and Julia von Samson were scheduled to play each other in the White Draw consolation final, but elected not to play. In the red draw doubles consolation final, UAB's Femke de Boer and Marritt Jansma were to face teammates Dellarciprete and Elsholz, but the Blazers elected not to play that match as well.
UAB will next be in action at UTC on September 26, 2003, in Chattanooga, Tenn.
